How soon can we get married in Quebec?
In Quebec, the quickest possible timeframe for a civil marriage is usually about 20 to 21 days. By law, the officiant must submit a Notice of Marriage to the Directeur de l’état civil for public posting, and the ceremony can only take place after this 20‑day period. Once all documents are in order, most couples can be married within three weeks of their initial meeting.
